Work

Here are some of our accomplishments

Cost, stalled delivery, continuity, and an e-commerce platform. Problems an operating company already has.

Operations

Saved 99%

Reduced expenses from $1 million a year to $800 a month

A monitoring stack that no longer matched the job

Situation. A commercial monitoring and logging platform running about a million dollars a year.

What was done. The principal designed and built a replacement scoped to that job, not a wholesale infrastructure rewrite.

Result. Expenses dropped from $1 million a year to $800 a month. The replacement was still running years later.

Product delivery

1 week

to turn around a project stuck for 3 years

A critical platform that would not ship

Situation. A dedicated effort had failed for three years to land a required mobile rewrite, blocking a store upgrade and a high-value feature behind it.

What was done. The principal rewrote the core and got it into production in a week.

Result. The upgrade shipped. The feature was no longer blocked by a platform nobody could move.

Continuity

2 years

of unbroken releases after a 30-person cut

Shipping after a major headcount cut

Situation. A reorganization removed roughly thirty people from a national consumer mobile organization.

What was done. The principal kept the platform shipping: an iOS rewrite, a required Android upgrade, and an auth migration.

Result. Two years of releases with no break in cadence, with almost no remaining onshore bench around the work.

E-commerce

80% margins

on an e-commerce platform we designed and ran

An operation that had to run without a department around it

Situation. An e-commerce and public-records platform built from a clean sheet, run as an owner-operated business rather than a department.

What was done. The principal designed the platform, the operations, and the team around it.

Result. The operation ran at approximately 80% margins, with years of unattended operation.
